Since school, I've been...
Worked as a bartender while going to college, (just kept doing it for 20 years), substitute teacher for Special Education, Assistant Station Manager and Security Coordinator for Trans World Airlines, now I'm a transportation inspector and investigator for the Department of Homeland Security. |
My family:
Three kids: Heather 29 (nurse), Krisi 27 (escrow manager), Kainoa 21 (student and professional gambler. Two great grandkids Makoa (10) and Kailana (5).
Brother John (1972)runs his own school in Hilo, Hawaii, married a teacher, they have five kids; Sister Wendy is a nurse married to an astronaut and lives in Houston with five kids (including triplets); little brother Neal is an extreme sports photographer married to a Nurse Practicioner living in Seattle with two girls. Hanai brother, Emmanuel Chen (1973)lives in Waikiki with his wonderful son, Dylan. Mom and dad just moved from Hawaii to Houston to retire. Mom hates it and wants to move back to Hawaii where all her friends are. |
Life experiences:
Finally moving back to Hawaii in 1973 (and never leaving again), playing beach volleyball for 30 years, winning my first tournament in 1975. Traveling and staying close to my family. Being voted Honolulu Magazines favorite waitress in Hawaii (1991). Winning Hawaii Top Female Law Enforcement Award (2003). |
My favorite things in school:
Definitely the beach and hanging out with friends. |
My favorite things now:
Volleyball, watching football, taking grandkids and dog (Hokuele'ele) surfing, enjoying my house, jacuzzi and backyard. (and yes, the dog actually surfs) We had to buy her a board of her own because she kept scratching everyone elses. |
My favorite books, movies and music:
Gone with the Wind, Overboard, Point Break.
Hawaiian music and reggae.
All books by James Patterson and raunchy ones like Sidney Sheldon, Jacqueline Suzanne. |
I work at:
